Maybe an alternative to the golf game would be good? There are probably at least a couple of pastors besides me who don't play. Disc golf maybe? Or a rousing spades tournament? : )

For so many years, I have looked forward to the first week in October, when I would be with colleagues in an informal/retreat type setting. Included in those experiences have been inspiring worship and learning. The School of Ministry has changed over the years, and recent years we have had the privilege of hearing from our own in the Florida Conference and experiencing their ministry and sharing ours. I will miss this form of connecting to friends and new colleagues. It is my hope that we can still provide some kind of experience that allows colleagues in ministry to gather and celebrate our connection and celebrate our friendships. Shade and Fresh Water does not provide the kind of experience many of us need of joining together, from time to time, in worship, learning and recreation.
