Granted that gun violence is something to be concerned about, but if you check the real facts, namely FBI, AMA and other sources, you will find that gun deaths nationwide are a small fraction of other deaths caused by a number of causes. There are over 200 million guns privately owned here. Gun deaths each year are less than 10,000 a year. Ban guns and then only the crooks will have guns because they will not obey any gun laws. Take hospital medical mistakes ... careless or not, (they) result in over 100,000 deaths a year, just in hospitals. You never hear the media reporting these facts. Cars kill 40,000 or more a year. Let's ban cars. Even the AMA admits this is true about hospitals, not to mention mistakes made by drugstores in filling prescriptions. Take away all guns from the citizens and we then could become another North Korea, where there are no free peope. Take pre-World War II Germany ... the first thing Hitler did was to take away all guns, then all freedoms. I am a first cousin of Ben Franklin (eight times removed). He believed that we should have the right to bear arms. Read what Jesus answered Peter when he said, "Master how many swords should I bring?" Jesus answered Peter two will be enough.
