I would like to congratulate Rev. Jeff Stiggings for the initiative of developing a curriculum like this one. As staff of the General Board of Discipleship in charge of Leadership Formation in the Hispanic/Latino Ministry office, I am conscious of the reality of the Hispanic/Latino church in the UMC. As part of our regular pratice we still recruit pastoral leadership from churches in Latin American. This reality present to us a challenge as the UMC: how to show our Wesleyan tradition as the UMC to our brothers and sisters coming from Latin American? Some of them with a basic knowlegde of the Wesleyan tradition, but really with the needs of a deep experience on the Wesleyan practices, as well in the Wesleyan theology. This material could be a great resource to be translating and adapting for the Hispanic/Latino churches. If our office could be a resource to make this curriculum available for the Hispanic/Latino community in the USA we are here to serve you. May God Bless you for this innitiave. I feel proud to be part of the Florida Conference. Rev. Cruz Edwin Santos Director, Leadership Formation, Hispanic/Latino Ministries General Board of Discipleship esantos@gbod.org
