Governor talks faith, not politics at conference event [June 12, 2010 {1181} | By J.A. Buchholz]

Governor Crist's talk at the Annual Conference may have been on his faith, but it is naive to believe it was not political. I'm sure the Governor, had he asked, would have been welcome to share his faith during past Conferences. It smacks then, as more than coincidental, that he chose this year to speak when he is locked in a tight battle with strong Republican and Democrat candidates. Since the Conference leadership approved Governor Crist's speaking appearance at Annual Conference, shouldn't it be alright now to have other political candidates come share their faith and background with our local congregations?
