Commentary: Finding truth in “The Shack” [June 1, 2009 {1024} | By the Rev. Dr. Jim Harnish] 06-01-2009 I read the book when it first came out, loved it and yet struggled with it. I read too all the "dishing" of it. But I have to say your article in explanation of how you viewed "The Shack" gave me enormous comfort and joy, so especially the last few sentences. Thank you. Both my husband and I, as well as much of our Sunday school class, have read "The Shack" ... thought provoking. Saw a commentary by the author in the newspaper, and he is not even a professing Christian, but felt "nudged, called" to write this. ... I think God was working his purpose in the author's life, and who knows where it will lead. He is indeed an AWESOME GOD.
