Guidelines and community standards

Those who would like to submit a comment about an e-Review article are asked to refrain from:

  • off-topic discussions;
  • using explicit/vulgar/obscene language;
  • posting or referencing sexually explicit images or other offensive content;
  • posting any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
  • posting depictions or descriptions of gratuitous violence;
  • posting material that defames, abuses or threatens physical harm to others or oneself or otherwise contains illegal content;
  • discussions or incitement of illegal activity, such as how to build a bomb, counterfeit money, etc.;
  • harming minors in any way;
  • providing specific, identifiable information about a minor (any person under the age of 18), including, but not limited to, any of the following: full name, home address, telephone numbers or the name of school;
  • requesting personal or other information from a minor (any person under the age of 18), including, without limitation, any of the following: full name, home address, telephone number, picture, or the name of schools;
  • soliciting for the exchange of sexually explicit images and/or material harmful to minors, including, but not limited to, photographs, film, videos, pictures or computer generated images (actual or simulated);
  • harassing, threatening, embarrassing or doing anything else to another board user that is unwanted;
  • offering for sale products or services;
  • infringing anyone’s intellectual property rights, including, but not limited to, any copyright, trademark, rights of publicity or other proprietary rights;
  • posting any content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside or proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);
  • posting any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,“ “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes” or any other form of solicitation;
  • posting of sponsorships, ads and banners;
  • impersonating or representing Florida Conference staff or community leaders or falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity;
  • spamming of boards, board members, folders and search engines;
  • forging headers or otherwise manipulating identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any content;
  • posting any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
  • intentionally or unintentionally violating any applicable local, state, national or international law, including, but not limited to, regulations promulgated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, any rules of any national or other securities exchange, including, without limitation, the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange or the NASDAQ, and any regulations having the force of law; and/or
  • collecting or storing personal data about other users.

Although the Florida Conference is not responsible for any content on the reader comments pages, it reserves the right at all times to disclose any information necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information, posting or material, in whole or in part, that does not meet established guidelines.
