Like many Christians, Kevin Flower struggled to know how to serve God.
He longed to be a church leader, but wasn't sure how because of his disability he is mentally challenged.
"For a long time, I just lost all hope of my dreams coming true of serving the Lord," Flower says.
Today, at 30, Flower is a church deacon. He proudly takes up the offering during services and occasionally delivers the sermon for the Special Gathering, a worship ministry designed for Christians with mental disabilities.

A million is not enough for the editors at the United Methodist Publishing House. They know from listening to their customers that more would have access to the Bible study if a few changes were made.

LAKELAND People are generally positive about clusters and seem to have a good level of understanding about their structure and purpose, but there is still some resistance to them.
That was the general feeling among delegates at the recent Florida Annual Conference Event as they left question and answer sessions relating to the church clusters that will be formed in each district by the end of September. full story>
